Message Usually I don't post about kills... too much testosterone filled ego stroking IMHO... but this one was too funny to pass up. It was a nice Saturday morning, on a 5 lane highway with barely any other cars around for miles.

Anyways, I was driving along on the highway... doing 80mph, (speed limit is 70 btw, so I wasn't insanely speeding). When a Honda pulls up right behind me in a fast and aggressive manner. Before anyone gets too excited about a little Honda, let me say that he was just the appetizer this morning. Of course, he had the standard 500hp worth of stickers plastered all over the place and the 20" coffee can muffler tip. He pulls up and around me, so I give him a shot at the title... no contest of course. Perhaps all he had was the Folger's brand exhaust. :) Right after this, I notice my car was behaving a little bit funny at the top of third gear... it felt like the traction control had cut some power. Normally, this doesn't happen, but since a nice cold front just came through, I thought perhaps the A032R tires weren't warmed up yet and the good old GT2530's had overcome them. :)

I was deep in the middle of this contemplation and was not paying attention, when not even two minutes later, this is what I see in my rearview mirror, big ram-air nostrils and all (except in silver and minus the firechicken on the hood of course.... sorry Genic... hehe).

So, I think to myself... time for the main course! :) This guy pulled exactly the same thing as the Honda guy... closes in on me real fast, moves over to the next lane, and tries to pass. (Great minds think alike... lol). So, I let his nose reach mine before I downshift to third (just so he thinks he has a chance and doesn't give up too soon). A Lexus LS430 in the left lane wanted to play with the big boys too, but soon realized he was severely outgunned... lol. Anyways, we start out neck and neck (mind you, he had momentum going from trying to pass me), and then once boost kicked in, I started to walk away from the TransAm WS6. BUT, it wasn't the severe smack down I expected. Now, I'm thinking to myself, what the heck is going on here? I should be a gazillion car lengths in front of this guy by now. So, I shift into fourth and put about 2 more car lengths on him before shutting it down. Right about this time, I turned the music down and realize my engine sounded kind of rough. I sat there kicking myself in the head for blowing my engine on a WS6. I gingerly drove home, popped the hood, and what do I find? ONE OF MY FREAKING COIL CONNECTORS WAS OFF! So, I whooped on the WS6 on only 5 cylinders. :) Lastly, I felt stupid because I had just replaced all of my coil connectors last weekend except for 1 of them which is under my strut bar, and I was being too lazy to remove the bar and replace it. Of course, the one that popped right off was that one.
